Strong Minds, Strong Women: Supporting Women to Thrive

Over 50 women from across South East and Central Essex came together on Thursday 5 March at the Westcliff Rugby Club for Strong Minds, Strong Women — an inspiring event hosted ahead of International Women’s Day to celebrate women in business while highlighting the importance of mental health.

The event welcomed local female entrepreneurs, leaders and professionals for a powerful day of connection, storytelling and practical learning. Attendees heard real and honest accounts from an incredible panel of women who shared their personal journeys with mental health, the challenges they have faced in business and life, and the strength it has taken to keep moving forward.

The event served as a powerful reminder of the resilience, honesty and ambition that so many women in business and entrepreneurship bring to the table every day.

Alongside the panel discussion, the day featured a series of workshops delivered by two accomplished businesswomen, offering practical insight, encouragement and space for reflection. Participants were also invited to take part in an intentional networking session, designed to help women in the room connect more meaningfully, share experiences and support one another.

It was truly amazing watching five weeks of planning come to life with so many inspiring women in one room. There were many moments of laughter, smiling and compassion as the day unfolded. Hosting this event means we can support more women struggling with their mental health, help them to thrive and stay well within our communities. A big thank you to everyone who came along and supported our first International Women’s Day event with your donations we have raised an incredible £3,913.00. I hope to see you all again next year
