The future is bright!

Find out more about our strategic three year plan…

SECE Mind is delighted to publish its latest strategy – a co-produced, co-designed and co-delivered plan shaped by the voices, needs and hopes of our local communities.

Over the next three years, we’ll be focusing on three key priorities: reducing mental health inequalities, preventing mental health problems before they start, and promoting positive wellbeing for all. This strategy reflects what matters most to the people we support and work alongside – and it’s rooted in our shared commitment to creating lasting change.

We’ve listened carefully to local stories, partnered closely with organisations who share our vision, and brought together staff, volunteers and lived experience to shape the way forward. With passion, purpose and partnership at the heart of our work, we’re excited by the opportunities ahead.

We’re developing our core offer to reach more people, strengthen connections, and help ensure everyone in South East and Central Essex has the support they need to stay mentally healthy and well. Together, we’re building a future where no one faces a mental health problem alone.

In order to implement our mental health mission and strategy of Prevention, Reduction and Promotion we will focus on three of our key service areas.

  • Supported Housing

SECE Mind will expand it’s Supported Housing offering, ensuring clients are housed in appropriate accommodation that best supports their mental health needs.

The charity will work with housing partners, the health and social care system and fellow local charities to prevent those with mental health needs being at risk of eviction and/or homelessness.

  • Therapy Services

SECE Mind will deliver an increased amount of in-person, online and group therapy support for adults and young people.

The Therapy Services team will work with partners to deliver a wider coverage of both paid and subsidised counselling across the footprint to help promote and encourage self-referral within mental health care, reduce financial barriers and minimise accessibility issues.

  • Corporate Wellbeing

SECE Mind is committed to becoming the charity of choice for corporate partners around mental health support and wellbeing empowerment for staff and families. By being a long standing Local Mind and part of the recognised Mind Federation, the charity has earned a reputation of being known as knowledgeable, experienced and professional.

The team have developed a robust and sustainable mental health training and educational offering despite the economic turbulence of the last few years, and the charity will now focus on evolving this key area of income, education and partnership to it’s full potential.
