Children & Young People's Counsellor

At South East and Central Essex Mind, we're committed to helping children and young people access the emotional and mental health support they need, when they need it.
We're looking for experienced and compassionate therapists to join our Children and Young People's counselling team, providing person-centred therapeutic support to young people aged 5–18.
Working across our counselling services, community projects and funded programmes, you'll help create safe, supportive spaces where children and young people can explore their feelings, build confidence and develop their emotional wellbeing.
About the opportunity
Contract: Flexible contracted role
Location: Southend-on-Sea and online
Hours: Flexible, according to client demand, including after-school, evening and occasional weekend appointments
Who we're looking for
We're seeking qualified counsellors or psychotherapists with appropriate training and experience in working therapeutically with children and young people.
You'll have a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding and the importance of building trusting therapeutic relationships.
Above all, you'll share our commitment to providing safe, compassionate and accessible support that recognises the individual needs of every young person.
