Geoff’s 150-Mile Cycling Challenge for Mental Health 🚴‍♂️💙

This week, we’re sending our heartfelt thanks and very best wishes to Geoff, who has taken on an incredible charity challenge in support of South East and Central Essex Mind.

Geoff has cycled an impressive 150 miles over four days across the scenic landscapes of southern Sweden. Joined by friends, he’s turned this personal adventure into a powerful statement of support for better mental health – and we couldn't be more grateful.

By taking on this challenge, Geoff is not only raising funds for our services but also helping to raise awareness of mental health across his community and beyond. Every mile he rode is a reminder that no one should face mental health struggles alone.

I have been overwhelmed with the support and generosity of friends and family to raise a significant sum for SECE MIND. Specifically in Southend we need improvement in the provision of support in the community for those people who are challenged with mental health difficulties, and I hope that these funds can help and be put to good use. 150 miles later I feel humbled and privileged to have been able to help in a small way and raise awareness of the good work that SECE MIND are trying to do locally.

All of the money raised from Geoff’s cycling challenge will go directly toward supporting our local services – from counselling to wellbeing groups. These services are lifelines for so many, and Geoff’s support will help us continue being there when it matters most.

Geoff, thank you for your courage, your dedication, and your heart. We’ve been cheering you on every step of the way!
