Successful Christmas Concert Brings Community Together in Support of Mental Health
We are delighted to reflect on the success of our recent Christmas concert, which brought together supporters, volunteers, and the local community for a truly heartwarming evening in aid of South East and Central Essex Mind.
The event featured seasonal readings, singing from the Southend Bach Choir, and an inspiring message from our CEO, Dr David Sollis. Together, these elements created a memorable occasion that captured the spirit of Christmas while highlighting the importance of coming together to support mental health across our communities.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Southend Bach Choir for generously giving their time and to our dedicated volunteers whose hard work behind the scenes made the event possible. Their commitment and enthusiasm were instrumental in ensuring the evening ran smoothly and was enjoyed by all who attended.
“At a time of Christmas it was wonderful to share song, music, and friendship with our local community. The concert was simply fantastic, and it reflected on the challenges people face with their mental health at this time, but also all the hard work SECE Mind does to support people. Thanks to everyone who supported us”
We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us with friends and family to raise vital funds for South East and Central Essex Mind. Your generosity will make a real and lasting difference. Donations from the evening could help to:
Fund a group support session for housing residents
Provide essential items for individuals receiving housing support
Enable another adult, child, or young person to access counselling
Support a young person to attend our CrossFit Teens programme
Help an individual in recovery take part in our Mind in Motion project
Every contribution helps us continue our work supporting mental health and wellbeing across our region. Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and supported this special event. Together, you are helping to change lives.
