Run Free raises more than £6,000 for SECE Mind

Run Free have handed over a cheque of more than £6,000 to SECE Mind.

The money was raised by the successful ‘Match for Mind’ at Southend United which also saw five members of Run Free walking 22 miles with the matchball.

And Run Free’s Chris Phillips was pleased to have raised so much money.

“It was a real team effort and I’m really proud of the group that we’ve been able to raise so much,” said Chris.

The final amount was £6,050 so a massive thank you goes out to everyone who has donated.

We must say a massive thank you to Southend United for their support and for helping us raise so awareness of mental health issues.

That was at the heart of everything we did because no-one should ever have to feel like they’re alone.”

The cheque was presented to SECE fundraising officer Keeley Hood at Run Free’s training session. Well done to everyone at Run Free for this fantastic achievement and thank you so much to everyone who donated and got involved.

This donation will be used to help fund our new ‘Somewhere To Turn’ service, which is a free early intervention service open to anyone looking for mental health and wellbeing support.
